New Housing Data Not Totally Downbeat - Developments - WSJ
The Fannie Mae survey and the MBA data captured slightly different time periods; the Fannie Mae survey of 1,002 Americans was conducted Nov. 1 to Nov. 25, ending just before the latest MBA reporting period. But the results seem to point in a similar direction — that low mortgage rates and a better jobs outlook could be giving buyers more confidence. In the Fannie Mae survey, 68% of respondents said that it’s a good time to buy a home, down just 1 percentage point since the prior month.
